Hog Heaven

A couple of weeks ago I was driving down the freeway and I had Josh and Chloe in the car with me. We passed a semi that was full of pigs. I was so excited to show Josh. I said," look buddy that truck is full of real, live pigs." By then the truck had passed us. So I sped up because Josh wanted to see. He then proceeds to ask me where the truck is taking the pigs. I was a little worried because I didn't want to lie but I was afraid of the consequence of telling the truth about the fate of the little piggies. I told Josh that the truck was going to take the pigs and kill them so we could have food. Josh says," what kind of food mom?" I told him that it will make lots of yummy food like ham and bacon, roast and ribs. He gets this look on his face like," are you sure mom". Then he is quiet for a while then says really excited, "will they make hot dogs too?!" I said," yes buddy, hot dogs too." He shouts to the top of his lungs," THOSE ARE MY FAVORITE.!" Who knew my little boy would not really care that the pigs were going to die but rather that he loves hot dogs!
